This tour has been designed to give clients an
overview of the Battle of Guadalcanal Campaign that
took place on the Island of Guadalcanal from 7th Aug
till 9th February 1943.
Enroute you will visit the following places:

  • Cost Watchers, Memorial, Point Cruz Wharf
  • US Memorial, Skyline Ridge
  • Tetere Armtracks
  • Red Beach
  • Henderson Field area
  • Edson’s Bloody Ridge
  • Pagoda Hill
  • Japanese Peace Park at Mt.Austen
  • Gifu (Barana Village/Museum – Willie Bessi)

Return to hotel for lunch or stop at a café.

After lunch, depart for the Western Battlefield &
Sightseeing Tour.

This guided tour has been designed to include scenes of the Battle of Guadalcanal especially the areas held by the Japanese Forces using Korean labourers and Solomon Islanders.

Enroute you will drive past Kakabona Village, Poha River, Bonegi Wreck & Sherman Tank, Tasifarongo and ending the tour at the Outdoor Vilu War Musuem. Most of the drive will be through coconut plantation and along the western coast of Guadalcanal Island with Savo Island, Florida Islands and Iron Bottom Sound on your right as you go westward. Bring snorkel gear if you wish to snorkel at Bonegi Beach, an ideal spot for snorkeling.

Bring your own equipments if you wish to snorkel.
